Most school districts have holidays for Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, MLK Day, President's Day, Spring Break, Memorial Day, and Summer Break. This is a position that will require your attention and presence throughout the day. Factors that inhibit your attention and presence throughout the day will not be tolerated.
We are a start-up company with the intention of keeping kids safe at school. Because our intention is for the kids, we offer academic institutions a Fair Price Guarantee where our clients pay us exactly what is in their budget for a school nurse. That way, we’re affordable to everyone and price isn't the reason students don't have access to a School Nurse. Because we are still a start-up company and this will be on-the-job training and learning, flexibility and adaptability will be important in the position.
This is a very low-stress environment. Everyone in the academic settling is healthy enough to be in school, students just need help managing their conditions while in school. This will involve doing what it takes to ensure the student is safe at school - interviewing students, parents, and staff, gathering information from medical providers, conducting staff training, and caring for students. One of the best parts about this role is that you know your yearly schedule ahead of time. The expectation is that you will fulfill the entirety of the 2023-2024 school year.
